Southern Plains AutoCross Event  (Rules are being developed and subject to change)

 

 


You Must Register to Participate in this event. 
This event is intended to be a fun event with classes competing for the fastest times. 

The Auto-cross event is a low to medium speed event to control the car emphasizing safety.

The 3 fastest cars in each class will win Trophies. 

There are 3 Driver Classes: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced 

* Each Driver gets 3 passes at a minimum and the fastest pass counts as your qualifying.

The course will be defined using traffic cones. One driver at a time negotiates the course laid out with cones and flags testing their skill against the clock.

Time penalties are charged for disturbing cones and failing to stop in designated area. The penalty is 1 second per cone and 1 second for failing to stop in stop zone. Each car will require inspection and driver must have appropriate safety equipment.

* The penalty is 2 seconds per cone, DQ for failing to stop in stop box.

** The final list of requirements and instructions will be given at the drivers meeting prior to racing.

A Few Rules:
All drivers are required to:
* Produce a valid drivers license and vehicle registration
* Vehicles will be Inspected and demonstrate their vehicle is in safe operating conditions at Tech area
* All participants for the Autocross events must provide your own helmet. This is a requirement for all drivers and passengers.
* Driver and Passenger Sign inspection and release forms
* Driver and Passengers Must wear helmet and seat belt
* All loose items must be secured or removed before competition
